I love a faux fur vest. Rachel Zoe and Dennis Basso are making really cute ones - I know they each sell on tv now - DB on HSN these days (or maybe QVC - worth double checking my info!!) and RZ on QVC.
If you are in Kansas, it seems like it's still really hot there - so function may be the first priority. I tend to wait until October (in New York and Los Angeles) to break out the fall / winter selection of items. But if you find yourself with an early cold snap, I say go for it. One thing to think about - the first time you wear something in front of your friends / peers / colleagues is when you get the most bang for it - so make sure you don't waste the surprise on an affair where you have to shed layers. You'll be bummed you couldn't rock the look the whole time (I know I always am when I have to take off / hang up my key outfit flair). Anyone else have thoughts on this? Faux fur for summer evenings? |

Maybe you could wear it over a skimpy/floaty top and a miniskirt for an evening look? Some restaraunts and bars are COLD inside - A/C overkill. It's an expressive way to stay warm, for sure!
