Hello!
Can anyone recommend a good way to photograph espadrille sandals that have the adorable tie straps around the ankles? I tried putting them on and photographing them but that angle doesn't do the shoes justice. Thanks so much! |

That is tough.... I would almost forgo the ties looking as they are supposed to in the photo. I would coil them neatly on the ground next to the shoe and just label it "espadrille with ankle ties" or something like that. Short of buying a clear plastic body form, that's what I can come up with.... anyone else have an idea on this one?

Have someone else take the picture for you.

Look for a similar one on google images (dunno if that's ok, considering copy rights but this is quite innocent right :-)) Or steal ideas on how it is pictured

Good idea Clariss, I've googled most of my clothes that I have uploaded to my closet. That's why they don't have any background. You can tell the ones I've taken pictures of, because you can see my neck line, or you can see where I deleted the background using Paint. :-)

Another idea is to lay the shoe on its side so that you can "artfully" arrange the tie above it (to show where it would go if there were an ankle there). All the shoes in my closet I photographed that way and with the background photoshopped out it's impossible to tell the difference! :)

Thanks for the tips ladies.
A few of my espadrilles were purchased last year so photos aren't available online. They look amazing on my feet, but not so much when I photograph them. I might try having a friend take pictures and go with that. |

I found shoes that I've had for years, it just takes up a lot of your time.
