I'm 21 years old and will be starting graduate school in Manhattan in the fall. With the fall season will also come many rainy days, and i'm stumped as to what to wear on these wet days. Are funky rubber rain boots okay for the big city? What kind of stylish boots are waterproof and also work for a professional environment?

I tend to wear my tory burch leather booties. I think a riding boot or big black rainboots could be cute for fall. You could even tuck your pants into the boots if you wanted.
