The effortlessly chic, haven't seen you in forever outfit, but just happened to throw this together this morning ensemble that is oh so wonderful. I'm in a situation in which I need one of those outfits. For summer, what do you all consider to be this outfit? I've been scheming, but I'm curious to know what types of clothes everyone else feels the most confident and wonderfully put together in....

I like pieces that act as their own accessories. Usually this entails a top with a lot of pattern and design, or something with such a unique cut that it is it's OWN statement. I'd use something with really bold prints or colors, paired with pieces that don't detract from the effect.

Here is mine - I recently wore it to give a lecture and everyone said how cute I looked (yay!) and I had just thrown on the dress, and the heels and cardigan are super comfortable. So it is a no-brainer now.

My favorite summer outfit tries to capture that easy feeling--anyway, I always feel cool and calm in it even when it's 110 degrees in the shade (oh, desert living). I feel best when my outfit is matchy-matchy and a little bit Kate Spade.

I go for dresses always, especially because where I live is hot.

I would usually suggest a simple day dress, and pair of cute sandals as it is the ultimate in "just throw it on."
Although, the other night I wore this to class, and felt amazing. The white jeans keep the look easy, and fresh.
