I really need some help.
I'm going to a house party and then on to a club on saturday to celebrate my friends birthday. Not one but two of my ex boyfriends will be there.... and much worse the most recent ex has a new girl interested and she has just confirmed she is going. I need an outfit or ideas that will knock them dead. I don't want to look too sexy but just effortless.

How about sticking to basics but adding a pop of color like this electric blue dress. Pick a color that complements your eyes and skin tone and knock em' dead. Adding some bold accessories like a great cuff can only help!

your post made my blood run cold - this is really one of the reasons I started Closet Couture..... I mean, REALLY, what on earth does one do in this situation!!?!!! I think Ashley's suggestion is right on. I would add that I agree and you want to look effortless, but yet so totally awesome that their evenings are filled with nothing but regret. I always oddly find that by under-dressing slightly I feel cooler than people who go more formal in these situations... sort of implying that the event is not the biggest deal and that I am over everyone and just here to have some fun. I agree with the pop color, make yourself stand out!! Go electric or bright in color!! It will pay off.

Just thought i'd update! The party was fab I wore a sunshine yellow fine knit tee heels and skinny black jeans. It definately worked and have been ignoring texts from the exes since! Thanks so much!
