Hi Everyone,
I have a gorgeous, soft Max Mara leather coat that I love. But, it's something I bought when I worked in a very corporate job. Now, I'm an at-home mom in L.A.. What do I wear this jacket with to give it an updated look (its 6 years old) Do I get rid of it? Please help! I have a photo of it in my closet and I attached the pic too. Thanks! Christina |

I love this jacket- it is classic and you should not get rid of it in my opinion.
I would wear it with jeans and a cute cardigan on those gray days in LA when you need more than a sweater. I think you can make it more fun than you think with accessories and a scarf. I will look in your closet - be back in a bit. |

I love this coat too, because of its clean classic lines. I would not get rid of it either unless it was falling apart with all your love! There is no reason why as a mom, you cannot wear this out to the store for shopping or your errands, as you'll be the most stylish mom out there! I'm thinking that a really nice long scarf, or even a Tiffany blue top to really show off the coat. I love the combination of light blue with brown, and could see some nice tweed slacks and driving loafers to complete the look.

I share all the same sentiments-it is a beautiful coat, and with a little accessorizing (ie a colorful scarf, a statement necklace or earrings) you could definitely make it work. I love wearing my leather jacket with jeans, leather boots, and a crisp white tee with great jewelry. I think this would be a great look for spring and you can update it every season with different jewelry.

I think it is definitely a keeper! I think it would be great with a pair of skinny jeans paired with a white tank or simple soft white tee. I think it would be FAB over a little dress also- something with a pattern or print so you can create some contrast.

Try a dress that hits right above the coat's hemline (red flapper dress, or shimmery sheath) and wedges. Think streamlined party attire.
