Ladies,
I am the chair of a great event this Saturday night in LA. It is the Otis College of Art and Design student fashion show, and I have to be up on stage to introduce the other chairs and students. This means I have to look good. And here is the DRESS: Lavender, ruffles, totally not my usual style, but post-Vogue article, I am feeling groovy and like I need to get out of my comfort zone of all black for events. SO - shoes? Belt? No belt? what should I wear with this? Thanks!

I made you an outfit that has luster (so you are a sparkling star on stage) but not to much glitz (so your adoring fans don't go blind) ... it's a whole pastel-y, neutral-y metallic thing.

This dress is very cool! I like the idea of pairing it with something metalic...maybe silver belt or heels...

Think the dress is great for the occasion- I agree on a metallic/patent leather belt and definitely heels...I like the idea of silver, but maybe even be a bit more adventurous and try a little pop of color? Like a thin metallic belt in a subtle color could be quite fabulous

Lavender is such a lovely color on brunettes, good choice! I wouldn't wear a belt because it would distract from the beautiful texture and drapery of the dress. I would pair with a metallic shoe in pewter. Do post a pic of you at the event so we can all see what you ended up wearing!

Ladies, here is what I wore - but you can't see the bag in this photo - I carried the one Alyson picked for me and it was perfect! It was in the back of my closet forEVER and I would not have thought of wearing it with the dress. Thank you!!! xxx Chris
and these two ladies are the other co-chairs of the event, so you can see why I needed to look great, to keep up with them! x
