Hey hey... I am a shopaholic and I am usually the one telling people where to buy things, but right now I'm at a bit of loose end.. First.. It's spring, I want to floaty dresses I can just, wear... With anything. But I am 5'11 tall.. This is about 179cm... This is about 71 inches or something (sorry that's off the top of my head so excuse mistakes). I am obsessed with finding a cute maxi dress, and even the longest ones on shopbop about 60 inches from the shoulder.. Well not paranoid, but I think my head + hair will make up for more than ten inches, and of course I want to wear heels! So anyone out there in a similar situation? I want VERY long maxi dresses... About 70 inches from shoulder will make me smile, but I guess 65 will do for flats. xxx Whilst we're at it... jeans.. I have everything ever made by notify, two hudsons, and a bunch of others. Any new, or not so well known premium or mid range denim brands carry jeans in like a minimum of 36 inch inseam? 38 will be perfection.. Still just dreaming. I wear a 24 waist and find that with 'tall' brands they always start at like 26, not good. Thanks! xxo |

I saw in the most recent Barneys Coop catalog a super long (in my view - no measurments provided) jersey maxi dress by Iosselliani or A.L.C. (can't tell from the layout which brand goes with which piece) that looks like it might fit the length bill. the dress has a drape front and comes with a black leather belt. Hope that might work!

And there's always Hudson's supermodel jean, with a 36" inseam. Hot!

Have you ever tried Grey Ant jeans? The designer behind the line is known for creating extra long jeans with a flattering fit. They have sort of a '70s chic vibe and flatter in all the right places!

I found Laundry by Shelli Segal Ruched Jersey Dress on Nordstroms.com that is 64 1/2 inches long!
I also just found a couple of long maxi dresses that are 60-62 inches long on Shopbop.com. Ingwa Melero Angelina Maxi Dress 62 in, Madison Marcus Unprecedented Long Dress 60 in, ADAM Deep V Long Dress with Covered Buttons dress 60 in, Issa Long Feather Halter Dress 60 in, Vince Patio Long Dress 60 inches! Let me know if you have any questions. Good Luck!! |

i'm totally in the same boat! was at Nordstrom last week in the BP deparment and the maxi dresses I tried on were falling about 4 inches off the floor (I'm a little over 5'11 myself! but not quite 6'). I would love to find some super long dresses too. As for jeans - I have some Hudsons as well, they are great. Seven for all mankind I've found come with pretty long inseams as well, the skinny's I have I almost have to roll up at the bottom! and Buckle has a lot of different brands with extra long inseams, give those a try! :)

alyson yep... I think they're like 37 inseam... Have them :) Hot yes, first time I got them was freshman year in college- and have replaced them a couple of times since, but like... Over them too lol... Not a lot of variety in washes, and I don't like stuff on my ass :) lol.
Joanna Really? Maybe there's a special style you need to share with me, every one I've come across by them seem to be a 34 inch! kelllw Thank you so much for taking the time... I feel like a twat now, as you're suggesting 60 inches... I kinda need a minimum of 65 :( kaylaa Yeah, I went to the seven store last week actually, I bought their so called ''extra long'' bootcut in mercer - its 36 inch inseam, which works for me as I more or less now wear them everyday - for 'hanging out'. As though 36inch probably scares a lot of people, if I where to wear heels I won't be able to go any higher than a 3 inch with those jeans to look 'normal'. nycgossip thanks for the advice hun, 5'7 is a lot taller the average, and I'm 5'10.75. I have never had to hem jeans in my life... When I was a teenager I used to undo the seams at the bottom of so called 'long jeans'... I've done the crazy Harvey Nicks and selfridges denim bar thing, and the longest anyone caries off the rack is 35 - a few 36. Buckle is a site Ive been sent to a few times... I think if I lived somwhere that wasn't London and Paris, I could so shop there... but they have very strict shipping rules, and the washes are very light, distressed and in my head 'high school'. God I sound like a picky snob... Sorry! It's just a quest ive had all my life lol.. I love being tall you know... I guess I have to admit that even tall girls are made differently, I have model friends who wear the average long 34inch with no issues... So with me I know it's not just about my height, I am literally ALL LEG! I've attached a picture of me to prove this. http://www.closetcouture.com/style_images/...e_types/gif.gif The jeans I'm wearing there are notify with a 36 inch inseam - my shoes are wedges with a 3 inch heel (hence not falling but gathering at top). Do you get what I mean? Ps re maxi dresses : Making them myself now :) xxx |

Also, for those of you in a similar situation... Do check out Notify's Azalee jeans they are bootcut - which is something I find common in long jeans but awesomely well made. I bought them in a special dark mettalic mini courdroy style which ran at an amazing 38inch inseam, unfortunately I dont have time this very second to find it again - and net-a-porter (which is where i got mine: http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/29182) now seem to be sold out.
Having said that, the dark denim wash of the same style is available all over the internet, various online shops etc... and I know they run at a 36 inch inseam, gisselle who is 5'11 was recently spotted wearing these ones (like me with lower heels haha): http://www.closetcouture.com/style_images/...e_types/gif.gif Good luck. xxx |

All leg you may be, but gorgeous too! Those are legs I would kill for , to be sure, even with the inconveniences they may come with. But I know what it means to not love some part of you, esp when it comes with inconveniences like shopping. I think making your own clothes to some degree - or going to a tailor to make them for you, is probably the best solution.

Rock and Republic is known for making some of the longest inseams. Also 7's makes a "long bootcut" jean.
I personally find that J-brand skinny jeans run quite long. |

I'm 5'11" myself && "all leg"...I had trouble getting pants and jeans that were long enough for me as well in my younger years but I found Alloy.com carries inseams up to 38" but most times just up to 37". I've been shopping there for many years and their prices are good and the length is perfect!...one or two I've bought were even a little too long (dragging on the floor) lol
Hope that helps :) Oh and I too have been searching for extra long maxi dresses...if all else fails I just will have one or two made maybe |

Hey Kytila!
After doing some serious browsing for chic and cool maxi dresses, I'd have to say that the freshest and cutest maxi I saw was at LF Stores, made by Emma & Sam--it comes in solid colors as well as a cute, trendy horizontal navy blue striped pattern! The cotton is sooo soft and light, which makes it a perfect frock in the summer heat. JCrew also offers a less expensive version of the maxi, a cool gray color, and super soft cotton as well! Hope this helps. Check out the LF Stores website for more details on the first dress! Emma |
