I must say I did a double take when I read the fashion headlines today - Alexander McQueen will be designing a diffusion line for Target.
It will be based on his McQ line and it will have a rock & roll influence using studs and tattoo-print fabrics. It hits Target stores in March. I'm anxious to see the results! How about you? |

MOS DEF! I'm elated to hear that Mr McQueen is making accessible clothing for the everyday people.
BTW, did anyone care for the Comme des Garcon for H&M collection? I'm not loving it with the exception of one ladies blazer/jacket. I suppose it's made for people who can pull it off. http://www.hm.com/us/press/pressreleases/f...&nodeid=334 |

I think tis a bril idea - can't wait. I love the designers that are working with major stores: so much fun to shop & just have fun & play; no worries about investing always in a serious piece. Adore CDG - am going to look up H & M now - thnx!

I'm so excited for this collaboration! For some reason I imagined him being more apt to design for Topshop though.

OK, maybe not so excited anymore. Here are two pictures from the collection : http://www.wwd.com/retail-news/mcqueen-on-target-1863903. When I saw them, all I could think was how much the look resembles Jenny on Gossip Girl in her rebel stage, which is not a good thing.

I know! I'm not too excited about what I've seen. Hopefully more photos will be released soon and hopefully the merchandise will be better!

I would love to get my hands on the harness dress. I hope the collection doesn't sell out too quickly when it hits stores in March.
