Great ideas, all around. Thank you for them! We are busy at work on something big for CC - and for sure an app is part of the plan. Your feedback is invaluable - it helps us build what you want!
Thanks all! xx Chris |

I noticed that we can replace an image now without re-doing the whole item- Thanks!!! :-)

I love the site and find it very helpful. I second people requesting an iPhone application and the calendar view of our looks.
Also, would it be possible to drag outfits or assign an outfit to a date after the outfit has been made. I cannot wear a completely different outfit every day all month so being able to assign an outfit to another date would be very helpful. Thanks, Kelsey |

Is it possible to access looks via specific items in My Closet? For example, if I want to wear a particular top, I'd want to see links to all my looks including that top on the same page. Or at least have functionality to limit My Looks searches to a specific item. Would be SO fantastic!

What do you guys want in an iPhone app? What would you want to use it for? We are planning something great, but would like your input so we can build what you want. Tell us anything and everything on this one!

For an iphone app I'd use it for the following:
Priority - I'd like to have access to my closet by category so if I'm out shopping and I see something I like I can browse through my closet to see if a) I already have something like it and I've just forgotten - which I do or b) if I have something that I can wear it with 2 - I'd be nice to have access to my saved looks. Some of my looks would be infinitely better if I had better accessories. Sometimes it's nice to be able to see my looks so while I'm out I could try to find better ways to accessorize them. 3 - although it's still not something that is functional on the site, if you could have the items on the iphone app linked to the outfits that they're in I think that would be a MAJOR help. I have to scan through all my outfits to find what I've made with a piece so I don't remake it or I haven't made a better option. If I wasn't in love with the site it wouldn't be a problem but at this rate the saved looks won't be very helpful soon just by sheer overwhelming volume. 4 - Capability to send an item to a friend that's in your closet by email from your phone. Outfits too. Less of an issue since most of the creating is done online. 5 - maybe a way to put up temporary pictures. Iphones aren't great at taking pics for upload but if I'm out shopping and I could take temp pics to upload so a) I don't forget to post them later or b) I could quickly get my friends opinion on something I'm considering and she could make outfits with it online. |

I agree with a few others that being able to EDIT an outfit we already saved would be really handy.
I'm not sure I see above is that in our own closet, when we hover over a thumbnail we get a larger view without having to click it. Having this same functionality in others closets would help a ton! (i.e. In other's closets we have to click it the thumbnail and then there's no NEXT button there, so we have to go back out and click any item that we can't see well enough.) And you saw my one in email, agreeing with others above that it'd be neat to search fellow members by location. Thanks so much! |

It would be nice to have a 'live chat' function or an icon that alerts me that someone I am following is on the site.

It would be super awesome if we could move a finished look that's currently in one of our albums into another album. For example let's say I wanted to put some looks that I'd designed for work previously into a new album I just made called "Work Outfits" (without recreating the look, of course). If this functionality is there and I don't know it I'd love to know how to do this :)

I've been frustrated with the inability to categorize my outfits once they've been created and I know I've suggested this before but I recently found a way to work around this so I thought I'd suggest a solution instead of just mentioning the problem.
Currently, I make all my outfits on cc and then save the image it creates to my computer. Using Picasa, Google's free photo program/online storage, I can add that outfit to a album and then assign tags to each photo. I have: Work, Casual, Friday casual, Summer, Winter, Fall, Spring, Formal, Beach/Swim, and Favorite. I can then add as many tags to each outfit as needed. When I'm done I can then search by whatever tags I want and it brings up only the outfits that I have tagged with those search items. It's great for when I'm looking for a casual summer outfit without having to search through all 300 something outfits I've ever created. Plus I can still add comments to each outfit for future reference. I don't know if this is something that you could incorporate into cc but I've found it drastically improves the usability of the site for me. I just wish I didn't have to use picasa to do it. Hope this helps other users having the same issues if cc decides not to adopt. :) |

Can I just second Michelle's suggestions about iPhone app, especially the first one, and add that any app made for Android phones would be great!
That folder system would be really handy, especially if you still access files by date order if you wanted. Being able to categorise the looks made by other people for you into the same folders would be great too. Thanks! |

Gals - all great ideas, thank you!! We are working out our next moves here at CC for development and for sure will incorporate a bunch of these. In the meantime, keep em coming because we are building this for you all!
Loving all the summery outfits these days - hope you all have a great long weekend if you are in the US. xx Chris |

Hi Chris,
I'm not sure if these things have been suggested before, but it'd be great to be able to see how people have commented in the emails which alert you to a comment for when you can't instantly go to the page which has been commented on. Also, if someone makes a look for you it'd be useful to have an email to let you know - often people are only aware if someone makes a comment. Thanks, Fiona |

Hi!
I'm new to this site and very excited to put it to good use! I've been in the process of uploading my wardrobe. A suggestion for those of you who have had trouble with the background remover on this site. Upload your photo first to photoflexer.com, adjust the contrast a bit, and then under the "geek tab" use the smart sissors to trace around your item. When you save the file, save it as a png file which preserves the transparency. Works wonderfully!! Now for suggestions: 1. I would love if I could click on an article of clothing (a pair of pants for example) and pull up each “look” that I have made with that article of clothing. 2. It would be helpful if you could sort your clothes by color. Afterall, we enter the information with each article of clothing, yet there seems to be no purpose to doing that if we can’t sort by color. Great site! |

thanks for the great suggestion SLA512. Great tip on photo editing, I think that is a terrific, easy way to make your photos look professional in quality, even if you took them with a smart phone.
For your other suggestions, we will try to make that happen in the next bit, thanks! xx Chris |

Hey Chris. I was wondering if you would consider adding a new feauture. Ciaobella and I were taking and we thought that it would be great to be updated when your look was chosen under "Editors Picks" Its so exciting when a look is chosen and it would be wonderful to be notified when it happens! Is this something you would consider?

Hi Audrey,
great suggestion, but we may be a bit shorthanded on notifying everyone. Will see if we can come up with a way to do that, but if you wanted to take the lead on it, I'd be thrilled!! let's talk more about it. xx Chris |

I second...or third...the app idea. I just went scrolling through the iPhone app store and found some closet apps but uploading 500+ outfits to another site seems incredibly daunting. If not an app, a mobile version of the site would be useful so pages could load faster and don't have to be constantly resized.
I am also a huge fan of the subcategories idea. It would be really nice to have things like jewelry and shoes all in one place with subcategories of bracelets, necklaces, and so on. Lastly, I really hope editing outfits makes it on the list! There have been so many times when I've just given up on editing an existing outfit and scrapped the whole thing because it's a pain to start all over again. |
