The age-old debate...
I work with mostly men, and have been on a 1-woman crusade for 6 years to convert the entire office to flat front (in my opinion, a no-brainer for everyone) but I can't seem to get through to all of them. What do you think? |

9 times out of 10, flat front, for sure. There are special exceptions, but I assume that the situation you're describing is mostly guys wearing double-pleated khakis. In general, this kind of pant only serves to create more width. As long as they fit correctly, flat front pants create a clean line and have an overall slimming effect.

100% flat front. Pleated often gives me back flashbacks to my middle school history teacher, and it was not pretty nor ever will be.

TOTALLY AGREE. Unless you are hiding girth (and then still I'd argue flat) really, flat front is the only way to go. Otherwise, you look like the two Bobs from Office Space.
the worst is two pleats on either side. |

FLAT FRONTS for the men. But I think for fall you could try the pleated cropped trousers- check out the ones Marc Jacobs!

Eric Simon has nailed the reality here. It's flat.

I definitely agree...flat front. At least until you're old and have an excuse to be wearing pleated pants.

Flat front is always more flattering! Pleated creates weird pooches (in guys and girls-it doesn't hide anything, it adds bulk!). Maybe the guys are just stuck back in a fashion rut from a long time ago. While it may have been normal 20 years ago, guys with pleats in offices now just look out-dated. Sure you'll see pleated guys pants still pop up on runways, but most normal guys aren't runway models who can pull it off. For the average guy flat-front is the way to go.

Flat fronts all the way!
I agree with kemceachnie that the pleats sometimes creates a weird package situation. Not a good thing for any man. |

I prefer flat front as well. It's very clean and simple.
