Ahh... Shawls and wraps--that sounds terribly romantic to me. It's so hot here, I can barely wear clothes. I'm counting down the days till fall when I can wear jackets and hats. Do you have a hat collection, too? I love hats!

Give my thanks to Egbert--I too love tiny safety pins but never thought of using them to fix the perfect drapey-drape.
And thanks for the compliment on my style 'n' bags. I'm obsessed with bags, of course.
I'd love to see your wardrobe--especially the jewelry and bags you design. Please post public pics!

Your user pic is so adorable! And your profile made me laugh. Anyone who has a monkey stylist named Egbert and Proust-literate cows is fabulous, in my book. Does Egbert have any scarf-tying tips for me? I'm hopeless with the things. And how do you get style inspiration from raspberry jelly?

Real Name: R
City: Dublin & Tipperary
State: Non USA / Other
Country: Ireland
Current Look: Dictated largely by the whims of the evil mutated monkey who lives in my wardrobe and flings out what I am to wear that day. Some may mock Egbert's use of colour, but do you know what? He really knows his way with a scarf.
Beloved childhood look: The one where I am not as covered in mud as usual. I believe I rocked that one for about ten minutes in 1989.
Debilitating childhood look: The velveteen party frocks were probably a low point. I mean, you could always use the "Grey Gardens" defence, but I was nine, ferfecksake.
Current Obsessions: - bold, deep colours
- defined, strong shapes
- hats
- brooches
- finding the perfect tea dress
Inspirations: - relentlessly individual folks who work their look like nobody else can
- costuming books
- beads & buttons & embroidery silk & other notions
- M&S raspberry jelly
- the folks at DesignerMart (Cow's Lane)
Trend I'm Loving: Structured/ big shoulders, but not the great whopping leg-o-lamb look. When it's done well, it's amazing. When it's not, oh Lord...
Trend I could do without: Where do I start?

About Me

I'm from the Irish mid-wesht, dividing my time between there and Dublin. What little spare time I have is devoted to designing and creating jewellery and bags, enthusiastically (read: loudly) playing music and reading Proust to my cows.
