Oh they're on the way alright- am temporarily cameraless at the mo' but once I'm not, prepare to tremble at the sheer amount of shawls, shrugs and wraps I own ;)14 Aug 2009 - 0:51

Hullo there! Had to pick an av that wouldn't scare people off ;)Egbert say: drape, dahling, and affix with tiny safety pins if necessary. He's obsessed with those things.
You have excellent style- love your line in bags!

I went to Uganda with my boyfriend while he worked on a PR piece for a non-profit. I would strongly recommend it.1 Jun 2009 - 9:03

Uganda gave me a whole new perspective on pattern--the western ideas of matching pattern, color, and texture are pretty much nil in Uganda. People are limited obviously based on economic standing, but the majority of women have these amazing custom dresses made that signify all kinds of things. There are lots of loud colors, oversized patterns and very fitted lines. Oh--and mermaid hems!27 May 2009 - 13:30

Ashley jumper suits were literally all that I lived in....including winter jackets and velvet rompers......quite precious at age 5 I suppose :) Great forum postings! I especially love your minimalist style...very inspiring. I am officially starting to intern in two weeks, so I'll have to keep you updated ;)12 May 2009 - 17:07

| Current Look: | So-Cal prepster--working ribbon belts, tight polo shirts, espadrilles, denim skirts, and summery pastels with a dash of vintage jewelry and cat-eye glasses for quirk. I love vintage but keep it sporty to match my athletic frame. |
| Beloved childhood look: | A pink and blue pastel shirtdress with Old-English sheepdogs on it that I wore to the first day of kindergarten. I've loved shirtdresses ever since. |
| Debilitating childhood look: | My everyday uniform of stretch pants and t-necks. With pigtails and crooked bangs. Though consistent, sadly not iconic. |
| Current Obsessions: | White sailor pants, elephant charm bracelets, Sean Young in "Bladerunner," Gidget plus anything early '60s, the color green, and Michelle Obama. |
| Inspirations: | Kate Spade, Linda Rodin, Marina Rust Connor, Lauren Hutton, Dita Von Teese, Ralph-Lauren ads, and--always--Audrey Hepburn. |
| Trend I'm Loving: | Eco-conscious design--particularly reusing old garments and fabric. I hope this isn't just a trend but something that sticks around for good! |
| Trend I could do without: | Brand-new clothes that are so distressed and pre-worn that they fall apart after a few wearings. I'll just buy vintage or wear it out myself, thanks. |
