I hope you husband is doing well. That's a big worry and a lot of stress for both of you.

Fiona, I'm sad the competition fizzled, but will still do outfits every once and awhile. It was fun and maybe we start back for fall.

Hi Julie! It looks like the 'Outfit swaps' competition has fizzled out - last time it was only yourself and Tammy creating outfits, and this time no one... I'm guessing we should cancel the competition from now on, as we'll just end up going round in circles.
Hope you're doing well, and that your husband continues to recover. Best wishes,
x

Julie: So glad to hear that your husband's stroke did not cause any damage to his brain. I read "Stroke of Insight" because I had seen Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor's video from the TED conference. It is AMAZING!! So incredibly moving and inspirational! Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyyjU8fzEYU

Thank, Fiona. I didn't see an earlier message, but it could have been me and not a bug. Thanks for your encouragements.

Hi Julie! Saw that you're struggling to find the thread - didn't you get my message? Maybe there's a little bug? Anyway it's here: http://www.closetcouture.c om/topics/851/?view=getlastpost
Sorry to see that things have got even tougher for you - keep strong, and try to focus on the future when things will pick up for you and your family xx

Tammy,
Yes - I have read "My stroke of insight" . It's so interesting and gave such a great perspective. Fortunately, my husband was not affected mentally. And, he is recovering at a fast pace, thanks to many prayers. I'm curious though, how did you come to read it?

Julie, I am so sorry to hear what you've been going through lately. When it rains it pours... I hope your husband is recovering (have you read "My Stroke of Insight" by Dr. Jill-Bolte Taylor? Fascinating and informative.). I will try to make you some outfits to cheer you up/inspire you! xo

I've been meaning to tell Chris that not only is this a fashion site but a therapy site as well!!!

Tammy, Thanks for asking. I've mentioned to Fiona and Diane that right now I'm always in sweats even tho I have nicer clothes. The reason is that my 51 year old husband had a stroke a month ago. My daughter just broke her foot last week. And yesterday my Mother in law passed away - she's been in an alzheimers facility for 4 years. Long story I know. Right know - CC - is and escap

Diane, My style is casual. Mostly jeans, khakis. Not much going out right now. I am pretty classic, conservative. I have to limit the high heels, but love shoes (typical female). Love jcrew but do not want to look like I bought outfit right out of catalog. Thanks for responding. I'm going to check out your blog.
