My current look is inspired by the Buddha belly in tow. :) We are expecting our first child, a baby boy in early March (though I'm thinking his arrival will be sooner than later). Done my best to keep maternity investments to a minimum - better to have stretchy things already in one's wardrobe that can adapt. ;) |
| Beloved childhood look: |
Was in ballet for 14 years, love everything about the art; was a country tomboy bumpkin in eastern TN otherwise. |
| Debilitating childhood look: |
Braces, frizzy hair, glasses, super skinny (metabolism of a horse), overall a perfectly awkward young lady. :) lol |
| Current Obsessions: |
Hmmmmmm...... What I wouldn't give to have a Dior nude or black handbag...... |
| Inspirations: |
My mother has been sewing for 50+ years; if I could live in 1 designer's line solely, it would be Donna Karan without question. Huge fan of American Classicism (Michael Kors) and the art of minimalism (Calvin Klein, some of Jil Sander); regularly seduced by the lines of Dolce & Gabbana. |
| Trend I'm Loving: |
Trends..... :\ I'm thankful that designs are coming down from the skyscraping heights that were platform heels; I've been in love with 5" stiletto foolishness and how it affects an overall look, but I'm infinitely happier exploring other 'highs' (ballerina flats, kitten heels, 3" and down ideas) |
| Trend I could do without: |
Flat Platforms. SERIOUSLY?? They don't bend with your foot, cause you to walk in shorter steps, lack balance..... need I go on? Brick feet are not sexy, they are lego feet, no matter WHO designs them. |
About Me
Call me Mrs. SimpliciChic. :)
Happily married to my Michael; just moved to VA from TX; expecting our first child, a son, in the next few weeks; all-around lover of life, and all the benefits of eating right, exercising, and treating others the way I want to be. Cheers to the beautiful road and journey.
I tapped into Closet Couture almost 2 years ago - BRILLIANT idea! Didn't follow through on the setup until these past couple of weeks. I'm glad to be almost done editing and describing everything; my concept of utilizing this tool originally was to have my entire wardrobe available for ideas and review/revision at the click of a mouse. It's perfect for knowing what you have/don't have/need/don't need, and I'm all about being savvy and not overdoing it anymore. Very much looking forward to gaining inspiration here from other folks' ideas too, there is always room for a fresh eye. :)
