| Current Look: | My look is a mixmatch of various different styles and trends from around the world. It's a modernist twist on the old fashioned. I don't necessarily have one continuous style. Something about looking in the mirror and seeing the same tired image drives me nuts. I can go from very eclectic to pinup to glam to indie to punk, etc and back again. My friends call me "madonna- like" because there hasn't been a style that I've tried that doesn't seem to work on me. I am the girl that looks for the most hideous looking garment, accessory or shoes and finds a way to make it match. Many of my pieces are one ofs or hard to come by... forgotten treasures of a time long past forgotten. |
| Current Obsessions: | The Pinup Look. Minimal makeup. Red lips. Victory rolls. Polka dots. |
| Inspirations: | My grandmother kept EVERYTHING- which meant a never ending amount of clothes and accessories everytime she felt like cleaning out her closet or jewelry box. My other grandmother also sells vintage jewelry. Both women have helped to inspire me by default. I am inspired by movies of the golden age (think the legendary Miss Audrey Hepburn), the pinup era (Betty Paige), japanese street fashion, harajuku, lolita, and many more. |
| Trend I'm Loving: | There seems to be more of a push towards a "less is more" mentality. I love that women are proud to be more natural and encouraged to really be themselves rather than caking on a ton of makeup that's bad for their skin anyway. |
| Trend I could do without: | Uggs. Why have those still not completely gone out of style? I mean, seriously. Also these hipster and emo kid clones are getting a little out of hand. |
